- How can I print my rendering out?
- You can take your digital file and just have it printed out, photo style. Walgreens does a great job.
We have had fabulous success with 5 by 7 inch photos, all the way up to 16” by 20” inch posters, now available on a hard board. Canvas On Demand is a web site that will turn your file into a mounted canvas, ready to be hung. you can mug it, tee it, calendar it, key chain it, use it for an invitation to your special event.. They make great covers to your personal photo book, or can be used as book illustrations. Please tell us in advance if you want to print out large sizes-such as 20 by 30 or larger. We will set your work up
accordingly.
- How can i use this artwork digitally?
- The amazing shift that we are expeiencing in this age, is that art can now be created and can exist
completely in virtual reality. Our offering make great wallpaper and screensaver, can be used in videos or slideshows, along with the digital snapshot or without. We especially like the “sketch” in this regard, when seen in context with the photo, both works enhance the other. The video actions can be put to music or used in the background of other video text. ebooks still need illustrations, so why not a digitally rendered cover for yours.
- How long will it take to get my finished art work?
- When you place your order, we will give you a timeline. Most of the time it is a two week turn around. We will expedite artwork to be used in a memorial service, so please contact us if you have that kind of need. Other rush orders will be handled in the best way possible.
- How many times can I reproduce this?
- As many times as you like for your personal use. If you are going to resell the image, or profit from it, you need to contact us, as we retain the copyright to all of our original work. You can purchase this from us, or pay a royalty for selling the image. We are happy to work with your business team.
- How will(can) the digital files be formatted?
- Image Resolution – 4608 x 6144 TIFF
- How will(can) the action(video) files be formatted?
- Artimation/Actions Resolution – 2304 x 3072 QuickTime Movie
- What if I need a higher resolution?
- We have other programs that will render at a much higher resolution. It is suitable for larger, more complex work. There is less variety of brush style, but it is more appropriate for commercial use. Actions, or video files are not available in this resolution. Visit our sketchbook pro gallery for examples that can be used professionally, or in a much larger context.
- Do you have any other styles?
- We have created some very fun things with zen brush, white board, and even doodle buddy. We can combine any of these with the numerous photo apps to create something just for you. Again, contact us , and look in our combo gallery.
- Why do you charge for each pair of eyes?
- Learning from past commissions, clients always want to get the most for their dollar,(we do too) so they try to cram as many people as possible into the space. We find the law of diminishing returns goes to work here, and prefer to give each face it’s due. When there are lots of faces staring straight ahead, much emotional content is missed, too.
- Why are animals less expensive?
- We have found them to be much less critical of both themselves and our work, so it is our pleasure to pass along saving to our fur children.
- Are there easier ways to create digital art?
- Yes. Many “artists” overlay a photo and manipulate it with a photo program. We use photo references, but draw freehand, as our videos show. We are devoted artists who have mastered the art of drawing and traditional mediums. We believe that no matter how new the medium, passion, commitment and authentic artistic communication will always be enjoyed and appreciated.
- Do you layer your renderings?
- As a rule, NO. We are trained to use photo references, but find more
artistic sensitivity when you draw freehand. So we do not render over a snapshot, we draw from a
blank screen.
- What if I don’t like my rendering?
- By setting up the ordering process as we do, there should by very
little disappointment on either side. We will make sure your parameters which you gave us at
the time of the order are met.
